NASGA Press Release

Unlawful and Abusive Guardianships & Conservatorships Focus of This Month’s AARP’s ‘Inside E Street’ Program, Featuring NASGA Member

AARP, as part of their Inside E Street series, will present an interview on 6/24 and 6/25 with NASGA member Danny Tate, recently freed from an unlawful Nashville conservatorship.\1/

Inside E Street is an informative half-hour talk show that delves into the issues behind the headlines. While most political talk shows focus on the news from the campaign trail and analyze poll results, Inside E Street looks at the latest developments affecting economic security, health care and retirement.

For a listing of when PBS will air this AARP program in your area, visit http://insideestreet.sgewebdev.com/index.asp.

NASGA is an organization of victims for victims of unlawful and abusive guardianships and conservatorships.

______________
\1/ Note: Tate’s case involves an unbelievable “temporary” conservatorship that lasted over 2.5 years. Even now that the conservatorship has been terminated, Tate must fight to regain what’s left of his estate before the attorneys finish it off. See http://www.NashvilleCriminals.info.

"Finish it off" is right!

Q: What does "conservatorship" mean?
A: It comes from "Conserve."

con·serve:
to prevent injury, decay, waste, or loss.
Origin:
1325–75; (v.) ME < L conservāre to save, preserve, equiv. to con- con- + servāre to watch over, guard (akin to servus slave, servīre to serve); (n.) ME < MF conserve, n. deriv. of conserver < L, as above

Q: Who should conserve?
A: A court-appointed fiduciary.

Q: What does "fiduciary" mean?
A: A fiduciary is someone who owes a duty of loyalty to safeguard the interests of another person or entity, such as a...guardian, committee or conservator of the estate of an incompetent person.

A fiduciary has a duty not to benefit at the expense of the one they are responsible for. A fiduciary must avoid "self-dealing" or "conflicts of interests" in which the potential benefit to the fiduciary is in conflict with what is best for the person who trusts him or her.

The classic definition needs updating: Wards and their families (victims of court corruption) DO NOT TRUST their fiduciaries any longer!

Maybe instead of calling these perps "fiduciaries" we should call them "nonconservators," "unconservators" or "self-conservators" - court-appointed SPOILERS; i.e., "vultures," feasting on the misfortune of others.

Over the years, through misuse, the orgtanized Bar has clearly turned a good law into a bad one!

Wake up, America! The Baby Boomers will be the largest group ever of victims of the American spoilage system known as "guardianship/conservatorship"!

It took roughly 100 years to go from Andrew Jackson’s spoilage system to a conversation about how you can reduce the influence of patronage on decision making.

"A political machine (or simply machine) is a disciplined political organization in which an authoritative boss or small group commands the support of a corps of supporters (usually campaign workers), who receive rewards for their efforts. Although these elements are common to most political parties and organizations, they are essential to political machines, which rely on hierarchy and rewards for political power. Machines sometimes have a political boss, often rely on patronage, the spoils system, "behind-the-scenes" control, and longstanding political ties within the structure of a representative democracy. Machines typically are organized on a permanent basis instead of for a single election or event. The term may have a pejorative sense referring to corrupt political machines.' (Wikipedia)

The organized Bar is not a small group. It's been around for a long time, working in its own best interests. Even the self-discipline system for attorneys and judges fails to protect the public interest, relying on "confidentiality" for pure cover-up purposes.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO END THE FEEDING FRENZY?

I'm glad to see AARP taking a look at guardianship abuse!

And likewise a "Guardian" is to guard against harm, to protect.
In Florida they guard and protect alright - THEMSELVES!
They could care less about the ward and their loved ones. Everyone is isolated from one another. Then the ward if filled with drugs and forgotten.

i love good news thank you nasga the aarp for funding and pbs for their efforts to warn people what is waiting for them when and
for keeping us informed how this guardianship racket is organized crime at its worst cause they do this in a courtroom where the judge has the last word which is life sentence for innocent person who is stripped of their rights, their property and all their money left at the mercy of a conservator or a guardian scares the hell out of me

MaeEliz is right about the State of Florida.. they most certainly DO GUARD & PROTECT THEMSELVES! Rita Denmark is a resident and domicile of Pennsylvanis. She traveled to Florida with her daughter and Florida decided to keep Rita, apparently because she had some money. The guardian, Jetta Getty of Port Orange Florida could care less about the Rita. She was left for 9 months with a broken TV. Jetta also has Rita using broken furniture & used clothing, she is often left with no toilet paper, spoiled & outdated food, etc. Rita is isolated and drugged at the request of Jetta Getty. Now WHY would anyone do that to Rita or anyone else? Rita has repeatedly asked to go home with her family but Jetta will not let her go as if she is a prisoner!
I point out the obvious fraud committed on the Volusia County Court... but they just don't seem to care. How sad!
My life long mission will be to expose this crime where ever I can. Right now it's exposure of Jetta Getty & I have the proof to do that! Anyone interested... Volusia County doesn't seem to be! ... any questions, just ask hlpeffer@yahoo.com

BEWARE: Guardianship / conservatorship abuse is a national disgrace.

Fixing the problem is long overdue.

The Senators in Washington DC are more than aware of the problems for many years.

Why is it those who have the responsibility, the power and authority those who have the credible information in their laps; knowledge of the growing cancer allow this to continue?

Could it be that they are lazy? Or could it be 'special interest groups' lobbyists are influenceing the Senators, the lawmakers, to stay out of the gold strike?

Follow the $$$ into the politicians campaign war chests those $ speak loudly voters.

At past hearings, the speakers were invited by those who will be hearing the complaints.

What's wrong with this picture?

EVERYTHING!

Controlling who appears, what will be testified to prior to the actual hearing is a way to control what goes into the record, controllling the outcome, the conclusion that they want - end of story.

Enough already - we know how this works and we are not going away until the abuse under color of law with inhumane treatment STOPS!

Me too! I'm still looking for the station that supposedly aired this program about Danny Tate - still no luck and I have run out of patience.
